It's finally here! Our all new Gear differential was designed to be a high quality and high performance addition to your 1/28 scale car. More rotation and harder acceleration than the ball differential yields a car that is often about a tenth faster to drive in high traction surfaces. The feel of this gear diff is very balanced and this makes the acceleration super smooth and strong. At only about 4.7g, it is also super light for less rotational mass.
The gear diff is sealed from the elements as the gears are inside a machined aluminum case in which you can larger amounts of grease to change the behavior of the differential action. The ticker the grease, the lower response into the corner, but this could be at the expense of a little bit of exit traction. We don't recommend going too heavy on the oil (maybe use no more than 1 or 2k CST oil), but you can use oil with no leakage at the spur and only slight leaking at the outputs.

**Please not the diff is not sealed at the bearings, so it is not designed to be "filled" with oil , but a healthy amount can be used when building. Left hub is not included.

The ball diff comes standard with super hard steel diff rings, 7075 T6 aluminum diff shaft, carbide diff balls, hard o-ring for tighter adjustment, our specially designed 10 ball spur gear and covers and ultra lightweight aluminum diff parts.
This new Version of the differential has also been designed to accept a thrust bearing on the outer hub. This leads to harder engagement with less slip. The result is a car that steers better and accelerates harder than before. Additionally, the new differential now also comes with keyed diff rings and diff halves for easier assembly and maintenance. The V4 diff now also comes with a molded spur and spur gear covers. The spur gear is super durable, quieter and much longer lasting. The covers are now about 50% lighter than the aluminum variants, which gets the weight down to a scant 6.6g with covers and 5.8g without (including the left hub).

Dieser Zahnradsatz ist aus spritzgegossenem POM (Polyoxymethylen, auch Delrin oder Acetal genannt) präzisionsgefertigt.
POM ist das perfekte Material für Zahnräder, da es eine hohe mechanische Festigkeit und Steifigkeit, Zähigkeit und hohe Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen wiederholte Stösse und langfristige Ermüdungsfestigkeit aufweist. Außerdem ist es hervorragend beständig gegen Feuchtigkeit, Benzin, Lösungsmittel und viele andere neutrale Chemikalien.
Unterm Strich ist dies das richtige Material für Zahnräder im Vergleich zu den von anderen Herstellern verwendeten Materialien wie Nylon oder ABS-Kunststoff. Ganz zu schweigen davon, dass diese superleise sind.
