Die Ladekabel werden durch eine flammensichere Öffnung nach außen geführt. Im Fall eines Brandes kann der entstehende Druck nach außen austreten. Dies geschieht durch die oberen Lüftungsbohrungen, gleichzeitig wird der Rauch gefiltert, sodass keine schädliche Stoffe nach außen gelangen. Im Inneren der Box können bis zu 800° bei einem Brand entstehen. Durch die spezielle Isolierung der Box werden Boden und Seitenwand jedoch maximal bis zu 80° heiß. Das austretende Gas erreicht dabei eine maximale Temperatur von 150°. Wenn die Akkus in der Box geladen werden, sollte die maximale Ladegröße von 60Ah oder 60.000mAh für eine Einzelzelle als Bezugsgröße nicht überschritten werden.
